Co-Founder, Suttle Financial Group
Mike Suttle began his financial services career with E.F. Hutton in 1982 near his hometown of Chicago — before the stock market (Dow Jones) was over 1,000! He has worked for other large brokerages, such as PaineWebber and Prudential Bache, and has been a resident of New Mexico since 1986.
Mike was granted several teaching certifications. Because he is retired from the U.S. Marine Corps, Mike was tasked with working primarily in the alternative school environment, teaching troubled youth. Being an only adopted child, Mike semi-retired in the early 1990s to help care for his mother, who moved to Albuquerque from Florida.
In 2002, after his mom passed, Mike decided to return to the financial services world, but this time as an independent advisor. Mike felt that would give him the best choices to serve his clients.
In 2010 Mike was selected as a Top 5 Finalist for Senior Market Advisor of the Year by Senior Market Advisor magazine. Suttle Financial Group now serves about 600 clients and ranks very high as a veteran-owned business, according to New Mexico Business Weekly.
Mike also holds a third-degree black belt in karate, is the President of the regional Porsche Club, attends Sagebrush Church, and is a firm believer in the sanctity of life.
